Modal Analysis and Experiment of a Lycium barbarum L. Shrub for Efficient Vibration Harvesting of Fruit

The most common harvesting method of Lycium barbarum L. (L. barbarum) is manual harvesting, resulting in low efficiency and high cost. Meanwhile, the vibration which considered an efficient mechanical method, can be significantly improved if optimized resonance frequency shrub obtained. To harvest fruit efficiently, a 3D model was established based on measurements shape parameters, material mechanics models branches were physical tests. modal analysis finite element (FEM) simulation performed to obtain range frequency, experiment using acceleration sensors impact hammer conducted accurate frequency. Based results experiment, determined 2 Hz. field showed that fell off when vibrated at this provide design basis for barbarum.
